‘Skirmish’ is undoubtedly the most distinctive track on the album. All of the electric guitar sounds, both in the foreground and background, are produced by a Fender Stratocaster Ritchie Blackmore Signature model.  As the track progresses, the synthesiser becomes more prominent. The track becomes a skirmish, serving as a metaphor for the duality of life.
